          Description
JOANN will donate $1.50 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® for every yard sold of St. Jude patient-designed fabric.

Adrienne was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 1979 – seven years after St. Jude was able to announce that survival rates for this disease had reached 50%.

Referred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, Adrienne received more than two years of chemotherapy on a randomized trial. She remembers a lot of her treatment, including some of the really difficult parts, but not being “sick.” And it wasn’t all needles and pain. She also remembers sailing down the hospital hallways on doctors’ low, wheeled stools.  On one occasion, she was supposed to meet Danny Thomas during a visit he made to the hospital he founded, but she was in isolation at the time. Today, she carries on Danny’s vision by working at ALSAC, the fundraising organization for St. Jude.

Today, St. Jude has increased the survival rates for acute lymphoblastic leukemia to 94 percent. And St. Jude won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
